Basalt Fiber Tissue / Veil
Basalt fiber is made from natural basalt ore that is melted and drawn at high temperature. Its mechanical properties are between glass fiber and carbon fiber. It is characterized by excellent chemical resistance and wide applicable temperature range. It also has excellent electrical insulation and flame retardancy.
Basalt fiber veil mainly utilizes the fiber’ s flame retardant properties and acid and alkali corrosion resistance to improve the resistance of building structural components in extreme environments and is used as the anti-leakage and corrosion-resistant layer of pipelines. It can also be combined with reinforced fabrics and is suitable for flame retardant and thermal insulation structures in building materials.
