Characteristics of aramid
1. Good mechanical properties
Meta-aramid is a flexible polymer with higher breaking strength than ordinary polyester, cotton, nylon, etc. It has a large elongation, a soft feel, and good spinnability. It can be produced into short fibers and filaments of different deniers and lengths. It can be made into fabrics and non-woven fabrics with different yarn counts using general textile machinery, and after finishing, it can meet the requirements of protective clothing in different fields.

2. Excellent flame retardant and heat resistance
Meta-aramid has excellent thermal stability and can be used continuously at 205°C. It maintains high strength at temperatures above 205°C and does not melt or drip. It only begins to carbonize at temperatures above 370°C. Furthermore, due to its unique chemical structure, meta-aramid is a permanently flame-retardant fiber whose flame-retardant properties do not degrade or weaken with age or washing.

3. Stable chemical properties
Meta-aramid has excellent resistance to most chemicals, is resistant to most high-concentration inorganic acids, and has good alkali resistance at room temperature.

Uses of Aramid
1. Aerospace
In aviation and aerospace, aramid saves a lot of power fuel due to its light weight and high strength. According to foreign data, during the launch of a spacecraft, every kilogram of weight reduction means a cost reduction of $1 million.

2. Special protective clothing
Aramid fiber has excellent thermal stability and can be used to make firefighting uniforms and industrial thermal insulation clothing to protect workers in high temperature environments and cope with the damage caused by extreme temperatures.
