Application of quartz fiber wool as thermal insulation material

Quartz fiber cotton is a white, fluffy, high-purity quartz glass fiber with no hollow shape. It is amorphous, continuous and curly.

Quartz fiber wool can be used in environments of 1050°C and has excellent thermal shock resistance and low thermal conductivity. The irregularity of fiber length, shape, and arrangement gives quartz fiber wool a curly appearance, reducing excessive compression caused by filling during construction.

Quartz fiber cotton can be used as thermal protection system of launch vehicles, ablative materials for rocket nozzles and space re-entry spacecraft, filter materials for high-temperature acidic liquids and gas media, and thermal insulation materials for reactors.

Quartz fiber cotton can be processed into quartz fiber cotton felt.

Quartz fiber felt is a quartz wool product made by impregnating quartz fiber with an organic binder. Quartz fiber felt has excellent shock resistance and a long service life. It is a high-grade thermal insulation material and can be used as a high-temperature thermal insulation material for aircraft engines.
